All of our Kicks teachers are handpicked, carefully recruited and lovely! We ensure all teachers hold relevant licenses and checks (ie DBS/insurance etc) and train them to our high standards.

FAQs

Does my child have to wear Kicks uniform?
The children love feeling part of the Kicks family in their branded t-shirts, hoodies and bags. These can be bought here and will be delivered to your child’s class. However, they are not compulsory and children can just wear leggings/joggers and a t-shirt. We dance in bare feet and ask that long hair is tied up. Earrings must be taken out or taped up.

What should my child bring to class?
Children will need a spare bottle of water (please note we will not be able to fill water bottles up so a spare is needed). Children in classes that run straight from school will need a small, healthy snack (no nuts, chocolate or sweets please).

Can I come into class with my child?
Our Tots can bring one adult into class, but for our age 3+ classes, we ask grown ups to please stay outside. We find that we have more fun without our grown ups and some children don’t like other people watching. We also have to be mindful of safeguarding. All of our teachers will make your children feel happy, safe and comfortable in class and we will call you straight away if there are any problems.

What style of dance do you teach?
At Kicks, we don’t teach a specific style of dance. Our classes are all about having fun and getting fit! We use music that the children know and love and focus on self-confidence, happiness and the joy of dance.

What happens if my child is absent?
Please let us know that your child will not be attending their class. Your child may attend an alternative class during the week if there are spaces.

What else does Kicks Dance offer?
As well as after-school classes, parties & workshops, we also offer Dance as part of PE, Brownies & Rainbows & Nursery/Pre-School sessions. Get in touch to find out more.
